The primary objective of the outreach and awareness programme was to propagate earth science and enhance awareness about the Earth,
atmosphere and ocean sciences. The aim was to educate, inform, and inculcate scientific temper among the public, students, academicians, and
user communities. It also offered a common platform for scientists, engineers, social scientists, and user-communities to exchange information
and knowledge through seminars, conferences, and workshops.
